To close out Black History Month, The Frenchway Building and The Fashion Circuit (@the.fashioncircuit) present an artistic showcase honoring Cameroonian artist Boris Gobina.
Hosted at The Frenchway Building, the evening will spotlight Gobina’s powerful body of work centered on the representation of children, particularly underprivileged and disadvantaged youth. Deeply human and strikingly realistic, his paintings immerse viewers in a profound sense of empathy.
Through pop art color palettes and precise attention to body language and facial expression, he brings his subjects vividly to life.
His work stands as a testimony to daily realities, paying homage to those he calls the Street Kings with poetic intensity. Self-taught, Gobina lives and works in Buea, Cameroon.
All pieces will be available for acquisition.
Join us Saturday, February 28 at 6 PM at The Frenchway Building. Light refreshments will be available.
